ENTHUSIASTICALLY CHEERS!

The end of another year brings with it reflections of the past and  possibilities for a future, encapsulated in new years resolutions.

Did you achieve all that you set out to do? Was it a year filled with Enthusiasm and Hope or a year when nothing really happened, resolutions dormant and forgotten on an old scrap of paper?

Earl Nightingale is quoted as having said:

“ The happiest, most interesting people are those who have found the secret of maintaining their enthusiasm.”

To write effective New Years resolutions requires Enthusiasm. It comes from the heart, not the head. You can logically think of all the things you are going to do next year and then logically go for them. But there is no feeling attached to the doing, no enthusiasm to carry you through when obstacles and challenges deflate you, going through the motions in the hope it will all work out.

The love of the job and a zest for life is what separates the Enthusiast from the rest. Going for the best, not second best. Not living a life of mediocrity for fear of losing it, but playing all out, for the joy of the game.

What is the desire that sits deep within you, your purpose, your reason? What do you want to achieve in the coming year?

Visualise it, write it down, hope for it, talk about it, take action and see what you already believe unfold before your very eyes. The eyes of an enthusiast, an optimist, a visionary and an achiever.

The eyes of one who writes effective New Years resolutions.
