So you’re nearing 50 or you’ve just slipped past and you’re wondering – Is this it?

Is this all there is? You’ve been working forever, well it seems like it and where has that got you?

Unique, unfettered a life of your design on your terms, no one else’s, after all whose life is it?

You push away the unrest, set it aside to continue on with no apparent end but retirement.

In your quiet times you search, deeply within, knowing there’s something missing

And then somewhere between forty and fifty you realise your own mortality

That life is passing you by and your reaching a point where, there’s more behind than in front

What do you do, continue? – That’s sensible, it’s safe, it’s commendable it’s what people do.

But – Are you those people

To settle back for the second half longing for a time when you can live as you desire.

Knowing that settling comes at a cost, yes a pension perhaps, but what about purpose?

Where’s the meaning, the fulfilment, the desire for more, to achieve, to give back, to make a difference

Wasn’t that the plan right from the start, wasn’t that the dream, to impact the world with your uniqueness

To run the race and at the end, the finish line, look back and say it was enough, I’m done!

Can you do that? Or are you still searching, still believing that there really is more to life

A purpose that will fill you, giving you your own version of success, significance,

You see you can dream, you can search, you can wonder and do no more

Living a life of mediocrity for fear of losing even that 

 Or as you step into this stage of life

Choose to pivot, release what is no longer serving you

 Find that purpose and the success, significance, legacy that define it and a way to fund it

Then produce your own Masterpiece, that life by your design,

Forgetting all that is past you stretch forward to something greater. 

Is it your time to move beyond the routine, reignite those dreams, and shape a life that’s truly yours.
